Gordon has a wide background in health and fitness, sports science and strength & conditioning, with a keen interest in the prevention, and rehabilitation of injury. Completing a HND in Fitness, Health and Exercise in 2014 at Forth Valley College, Gordon subsequently gained advanced entry to Abertay University’s degree program in Strength and Conditioning where he graduated with honours in 2016. Alongside his studies, Gordon shares his knowledge of exercise physiology by teaching functional fitness at Crossfit Forth Valley. Furthermore, whilst studying at university, Gordon completed a diploma in Sports Massage therapy, and has since began helping athletes with their muscular aches and pains.
Gordon has been physically active all his life competing in swimming, judo and muay thai. He currently competes in functional fitness competitions and enjoys challenging both his physical abilities, and personal limits outside of the gym by participating in climbing, mountaineering and fell running.
In the future, Gordon intends to further his knowledge by studying for a masters degree in physiotherapy. His ultimate goal is to become a well-rounded performance coach with the ability to diagnose and rehabilitate injuries as well as improve and maintain performance.
