Colin’s journey began in Ireland where he graduated from the Institute of Technology, Carlow, in 2012 with a Distinction in Physiology & Health Science. From there he went on to train in Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, where he graduated with a BSc. (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2016. Since then, he has worked across a broad spectrum within the NHS providing physiotherapy to a variety of patients with musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological conditions.
Colin has a wealth of experience in sport, playing competitive rugby at a high level both in Ireland and Scotland. Having spent time with the Glasgow Warriors and DRMC Headley Court, he has gained experience in providing physiotherapy to the elite level athlete. In his spare time, you will find Colin playing for GHK Rugby Club in Glasgow or searching up and down the rugged Scottish coastline for a decent wave.
Returning to full competition from surgery, managing long term injuries and implementing injury preventative measures are all personal experiences of his and together with his profession he believes in providing a service where the client can be guided both physically and psychologically using the most up to date evidence based practice.
Colin hopes to complete a MSc in Physiotherapy/Sports Medicine in the near future.
